PUBLIC NOTICE DOUGLAS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS TENTATIVE BUDGET HEARING The tentative budget hearing for the 2020-2021 fiscal year budgets will be held as a video conference meeting utilizing Zoom technology on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. Due to the Emergency Declaration issued by Governor Sisolak, this budget hearing will not be open to the public to attend. However, interested persons may click on the following link to watch the livestream of the meeting: Any public comments regarding this agenda must be submitted by 5:00 PM on Monday, April 6, 2020, using one of the methods listed below. Public comments received will be added to the agenda as supplemental materials. Any comments received on the day of the meeting will be posted within 24 hours of the meeting date. Recommendations for final budget changes may be made at that time. The following budgets will be heard at that time: Douglas County Douglas County Redevelopment Agency Tentative budgets have been prepared in such detail and on forms prescribed by the Nevada Department of Taxation. Individual budgets and other pertinent information are available for review on the County's Finance Department website under Financial Reports. Douglas County Financial Reports Douglas County is concerned for the health and safety of community members, our staff, and the Board of County Commission members. Amid rapidly evolving circumstances, Douglas County must consider its obligation to continue work while doing our part to slow the spread of the novel Coronavirus. In addition to virtual technology being used for internal operations, Douglas County will utilize technology to hold the upcoming Board of County Commission (BOCC) meetings. Any County Commissioner, staff member or interested member of the public will be able to participate and observe the meeting remotely without coming to a physical location at Ways the public may provide public comment and input to the Commissioners: Prior to the Board Meeting: Submit written comments in advance of the meeting. Written comments received by 5:00 PM the day prior to the meeting will be included as part of the record.
