NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR SUBMITTAL OF STATE CDBG CORONAVIRUS RESPONSE ROUNDS 2 AND 3 APPLICATION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Truckee Town Council will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 5:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, at Truckee Town Hall, 10183 Truckee Airport, Truckee, California, in order to discuss the submittal of applications in response to the State Community Block Grant Coronavirus Response Rounds 2 and 3 (CDBG-CV2 and 3) Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA), and to solicit citizen input. The Town of Truckee is recommending making applications for CDBG-CV2 and 3 funding to provide Public Services rental assistance to prevent homelessness and Economic Development for Business Assistance and Microenterprise Business Assistance to help businesses retain jobs. Funding through this NOFA is on an allocation basis and the Town will apply for the maximum allocation of funds up to a maximum of $318,913. This amount is the Town's total allocation for CDBG-CV2 and 3). The state of California, Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) may increase the allocation prior to the application due date of March 1, 2021. Should the Town's allocation increase the Town shall apply for up the maximum allocation. In addition the Town of Truckee proposes expending CDBG Program Income in an amount not to exceed $85,000 for the activities applied for under this NOFA. The purpose of the public hearing is to give citizens an opportunity to make their comments known on the proposed activity/application.
